Get Him Off the Stage
An opening number. With apologizes to almost every opening number it satirizes.
New York City Breakdown
Another opening number. With back-up girls.
You Just See My Love
A quirky love ballad.
Love Refrains
A ballad about lost love.
F.O.: A Tender Bossa Nova Ballad
A different kind of ballad, after you thought about that lost love for a while.
Penguin Serenade
An ode to obsession . . . and animal noises.
Ewe Nork, Ewe Nork
Arrangement by Scott Patrick Wagner and Matthew Ward.
Making Love Alone (back-up arrangement)
Back-up girls again . . . being naughty.
I Feel Preppy (parody song)
Ah, the special material never gets old . . . no longer current, but never old.
Musicals
The Brainstorm
A one-act children's musical, about the importance of artistic expression. This project was originally commissioned by a theater in San Diego, with not-entirely-successful musicalization. I have retained book and lyrics, and currrently seek a new composer to remusicalize this work.
The Untitled New Musical-in-Progress
An original two-act musical, mixing psychological drama with a bit of metaphysics. You might call it a study of Subjective Reality, with lots of musical numbers. I am keeping details of this project off the website, as I search for a good-fit composer with whom to collaborate. Please contact me if you'd like more information.
Under My Skin: Cole Porter in Review
No, I didn't write the lyrics; His Greatness did (and the music too, as was his wont). But I wrote the book for this irreverent (and a little brazen) review.
